Hosts
Laurie and I love Gettysburg. For the last eight years, we’ve been hosting leadership development conferences on the truly hallowed fields of America’s largest battlefield. We believe it’s a unique place to learn “battlefield” leadership — at the edge of the battle, whether in the spiritual battle or day to day in profit or non-profit environments.
Laurie and I , after 20 years in the USAF, have been on Campus Crusade for Christ staff for the last 13 years. As a professor at that Air Force Academy, my interest in Gettysburg and the Civil War was ignited by the last class I taught there. The Turner Movie-Gettysburg, the book Killer Angels, and my study of biblical leadership went on to fuel this interest.
Now, over the last eight years of walking the fields with men and women and young people, we believe Gettysburg is one of those “thin-places” where the temporal and the eternal are uniquely connected. As Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, the hero of Little Round Top, said, the fields of Gettysburg are a vision-place for the soul. We’d love to have you experience it with us.
